Ursula Kroeber Le Guin (born October 21, 1929) is an American author. She has published titles in several genres, especially fantasy and science fiction, and won numerous awards for her writing, including the National Book Award, the Hugo Award, and the Nebula Award. She also writes poetry, essays, short stories and children's fiction.
