Robopocalypse is a science fiction horror novel written by Daniel H. Wilson, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a degree in robotics.


In a society dependent on robotics, a scientist accidentally creates an artificial intelligence Robot named Archos, who slowly becomes self-aware and tries to destroy the human race.

Film adaptation

Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct a film based on Robopocalypse. Screenwriter Drew Goddard has been hired to write the screenplay and the film is slated to be released July 3, 2013. [1]
