Harper Lee

Harper Lee wrote To Kill a Mockingbird. She was a native of Alabama (U.S.A.). To Kill a Mockingbird was her only novel, but she also wrote some stories. One of her childhood friends was Truman Capote. For years there were rumors that he wrote To Kill a Mockingbird, but he said that was not true and his contemporaneous letters supported that Ms. Lee was the author.
